EMPHASIS: Selective Traffic Enforcement Operation To Be Conducted On Interstate 70


Captain Robert L. Powell, commanding officer of Troop A, Lee’s Summit, announces that on November 29, 2008, officers from Troop A will conduct a Selective Traffic Enforcement Operation on Interstate 70 in Jackson, Lafayette, and Saline counties.
The goal of this operation is to reduce the number of traffic crashes throughout the area by strict enforcement of laws related to alcohol, speed, and seat belt compliance through increased visibility. The overtime operation will concentrate additional officers to monitor traffic and ensure drivers are traveling in a lawful manner.
