EMPHASIS: Results of DWI Saturations In Pettis County


Captain Robert L. Powell, commanding officer of Troop A, Lee's Summit, announces the results of two DWI saturations conducted on August 13, 2010 and August 14, 2010, in Pettis County. Troopers placed special emphasis on patrolling those highways where in the past a higher number of impaired drivers were either involved in a crash or arrested for DWI.
During the eight hour enforcement operation conducted on August 13, 2010, three troopers stopped 31 vehicles. As a result of those traffic stops, troopers made one felony drug arrest, two misdemeanor drug arrests, two DWI arrests, and issued 34 warnings.
During the eight hour enforcement operation conducted on August 14, 2010, three troopers stopped 32 vehicles and arrested three intoxicated drivers. Troopers issued eight traffic citations, one citation for person under 21possessing intoxicating liquor, and issued 32 warnings.
