Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer of Troop C, Weldon Spring, announces the results of a driving while intoxicated saturation conducted on Saturday, July 7, 2012, in Jefferson County. Four Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers conducted the enforcement operation during the eight-hour project.

As a result of the enforcement project, a total of 12 arrests were made and 20 warnings were issued. Of the 12 arrests, one person was arrested for driving while intoxicated. One summons was issued for no seat belt, five hazardous moving violations were issued and two people were cited for no insurance. Three individuals were arrested on misdemeanor warrants.

“Sobriety saturations are very important in making our highways a safer place to travel,” stated Captain Johnson. “Troop C officers will be conducting various special enforcement operations throughout 2012 with a goal of reducing traffic crashes and saving lives.”
