EMPHASIS: Troop G C.A.R.E. Traffic Totals


Captain Billy E. Chadwick, commanding officer, Troop G, Willow Springs, announces the following traffic totals for the C.A.R.E. (Combined Accident Reduction Effort) Life Saver’s Weekend conducted Friday, August 31, 2007, through Monday, September 3, 2007:
Troop G reported zero fatal traffic crashes, investigated two alcohol-related traffic crashes, and investigated 19 traffic crashes on C.A.R.E. designated highways. Troopers made three DWI arrests, and issued 301 speeding citations, 136 seat belt citations, and eight failure to use child restraint tickets. Additionally, officers provided 45 motorist assists.
Captain Chadwick says, “We are again pleased that we did not experience a fatal traffic crash in Troop G over a major holiday weekend. Please help us make 2007 one of the safest years in recent Missouri history.”
