EMPHASIS: Results Of Sobriety Saturation In Franklin County
Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer of Troop C, Weldon Spring, announces the results of a driving while intoxicated saturation conducted on Friday, September 3, 2010, in Franklin County. Twelve Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers conducted the enforcement operation during the five-hour project.
As a result of the enforcement program, a total of 14 arrests were made and 62 warnings were issued. Of the 14 arrests, six people were arrested for driving while intoxicated. The remainder of the arrests were for miscellaneous traffic violations.
“Sobriety saturations are very important in making our highways a safer place to travel,” stated Captain Johnson. “Troop C officers will be conducting various special enforcement operations throughout the year with a goal of reducing traffic crashes.”
