EMPHASIS: Safety Checkpoints To Be Held


Captain Billy E. Chadwick, commanding officer of Troop G, Willow Springs, announces that safety checkpoints will be held in Shannon County sometime in the month of April. The Missouri State Highway Patrol in cooperation with other area law enforcement agencies will conduct the checkpoints.

Safety checkpoints are part of the Patrol’s efforts to remove careless and intoxicated drivers from Missouri’s highways, and are conducted at various locations which have been found to experience a higher than normal number of alcohol-related contacts, hazardous driving contacts, and collisions.

Captain Chadwick says, “Careless and intoxicated drivers compromise the safety of every person who travels Missouri’s roads. We will continue to do everything we can to remove these hazardous drivers from our highways.”
