EMPHASIS: Troop B To Conduct Selective Enforcement Operations In April 2009

Captain John W. Elliott, commanding officer of Troop B, Macon, announces Troop B officers will be conducting two Selective Enforcement Operations during the month of April 2009.
On April 17, 2009, troopers will focus their attention toward speed violations on highways in Macon County, and on April 25, 2009, troopers will focus their attention to alcohol-related traffic offenses on highways in Randolph County. During these enforcement operations, additional troopers will be scheduled to work these areas with a goal of detecting traffic violations that contribute to traffic crashes.
“The Missouri State Highway Patrol is committed to helping to make our highways safer and saving lives,” stated Captain Elliott. “Please help us reduce traffic crashes by being a safe driver and if you drink alcohol, choose a sober designated driver.”
