EMPHASIS: St. Louis County Sobriety Checkpoint Results


Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer of Troop C, Weldon Spring, announces the results of a sobriety checkpoint conducted on Friday evening, September 10, 2010, in St. Louis County. During the five-hour operation, a total of 261 vehicles were checked with a total of 14 arrests being made and 42 warnings being issued. Of those, five summonses were written for moving and non-moving violations, one for a seat belt violation and three for driver license violations.

In addition, two arrests were made for DWI, one arrest was made for a misdemeanor drug violation, and two felony arrests were made for outstanding warrants.

Captain Johnson stated, "This was another successful checkpoint, and we would like to thank every person involved, especially members of the St. Louis County Police Department.”
