EMPHASIS: Results Of DWI Saturation Conducted In Lewis County

Captain James E. Wilt, commanding officer of Troop B, Macon, announces the results of a DWI (driving while intoxicated) saturation conducted in Lewis County. The saturation began at 11 p.m., on September 27, 2013, and concluded at 3 a.m. on September 28, 2013. During this enforcement operation, officers patrolled specific areas with a goal of detecting impaired drivers and other traffic violations that contribute to traffic crashes. As a result of the operation, officers made one arrest for driving while intoxicated, issued a citation for careless and imprudent driving, and issued six warnings.
"The Missouri State Highway Patrol is very serious about removing the impaired driver from our roadways," stated Captain Wilt. "If drinking is a part of your plans, choose a sober designated driver."
The Patrol encourages motorists and watercraft operators to protect themselves by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint and everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket. Click It 4 Life and Wear It!!!
