EMPHASIS: Colonel Ron Replogle Announces Promotion

Colonel Ron Replogle, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, announces the following promotion:

Sergeant Brian L. Daniel is being promoted to the rank of lieutenant and transferred to the Field Operations Bureau, General Headquarters, Jefferson City, effective July 1, 2014. He is a 16-year veteran of the Patrol.

Daniel was appointed to the Patrol on February 1, 1998, as a member of the 75th Recruit Class. Upon completing his training at the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop A, Zone 13, Pettis County. On February 9, 2003, he was promoted to corporal and designated assistant zone supervisor of Zone 13. On February 5, 2006, Daniel was promoted to sergeant and designated supervisor of Troop A, Zone 16, Benton County.

Lieutenant Daniel was born in Springfield, MO. He graduated from Hillcrest High School in Springfield in 1990. He graduated from Missouri State University in Springfield, with a bachelor’s of arts degree in English. Lt. Daniel and his wife, Erica, have three children: Lathon, Owen, and Ella.
