EMPHASIS: DWI Saturation In Jackson County

Captain Robert L. Powell, commanding officer of Troop A, Lee's Summit, announces that sometime during the remaining month of April a driving while intoxicated saturation will be conducted in Jackson County.
The saturation is part of the continuing effort by the Missouri State Highway Patrol to remove intoxicated drivers from our highways. Members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol will concentrate their efforts on highways which have been found to have a higher number of alcohol-related crashes and enforcement contacts.
Captain Powell stated, "Do not let your life or someone else's life be ruined by an alcohol-related crash or arrest. If you are going to drink, have a plan. Make sure that plan includes a designated driver."
All citizens are urged to report any driver they observe operating a vehicle in an unsafe manner. The public can contact the Missouri State Highway Patrol toll-free at 1-800-525-5555 or on their cellular phone at *55.
