EMPHASIS: Captain Lee Ann H. Kenley Retires June 1, 2014.

Colonel Ron Replogle, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, announces the following retirement:

Captain Lee Ann H. Kenley, commanding officer of Troop I, Rolla, MO, is retiring effective June 1, 2014.

Kenley was appointed to the Patrol on September 1, 1985, as a member of the 57th Recruit Class. Upon graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy in Jefferson City, MO, she was assigned to Troop E, Poplar Bluff, MO. In 1989, she transferred to the Division of Drug and Crime Control’s Troop E Unit. Kenley was promoted to the rank of corporal on October 1, 1992. She transferred to Troop C, St. Louis, on February 1, 1994. Kenley was promoted to the rank of sergeant on February 1, 1995. On June 1, 1999, she was promoted to the rank of lieutenant and assigned to Troop I, Rolla, MO. She was promoted to captain and designated commanding officer of Troop I, Rolla, on September 1, 2008. Captain Kenley is the first female troop commander in Patrol History.

Captain Kenley was born in Kankakee, IL. She graduated from Herscher High School in 1980. She graduated from the Northwestern University Traffic Institute School of Police Staff and Command in Evanston, IL, in 1999. In 2001, she graduated from the FBI National Academy in Quantico, VA. Captain Kenley is married to Samuel C. Kenley.
