EMPHASIS: Troop G Releases Sobriety Checkpoint, DWI Saturation Results


A total of 21 arrests and 43 warnings were issued in conjunction with a sobriety checkpoint conducted in Carter County on July 6, 2013, near the intersection of Missouri Route M and County Road 101. Totals from this checkpoint include:

1-- felony DWI arrest
1-- speed summons
7-- seat belt summonses
1-- non-moving summons
1-- no driver’s license summons
2-- driving while suspended/driving while revoked summonses
6-- uninsured motorist summonses
1-- signal light summons
1-- misdemeanor warrant arrest

A total of 17 arrests and 11 warnings were issued in conjunction with a DWI saturation conducted in Howell & Shannon counties on July 5, 2013. The designated highways for this saturation were U.S. Highway 60, U.S. Highway 63, and Missouri Route 17. Totals from this saturation include:

1-- misdemeanor DWI arrest
1-- C&I summons
7-- speed summonses
3-- seat belt summonses
3-- non-moving summonses
1-- uninsured motorist summons
1-- felony warrant arrest


Captain Isringhausen says, “The motoring public has been very supportive of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s efforts to make our roads safer through the use of sobriety checkpoints and special enforcement operations. Nobody wants to share the road with a drunk, drugged, or otherwise unsafe driver. Please do your part by driving safely.”
