EMPHASIS: Troop G Releases Results Of Sobriety Checkpoints
Captain Billy E. Chadwick, commanding officer of Troop G, releases the following information:
A total of 24 arrests and 73 warnings were issued in conjunction with a sobriety checkpoint conducted in Howell County on June 20, near the intersection of U.S. Highway 63 and Missouri Highway 17. Totals from this checkpoint include:
3 -- DWI arrests
3 -- seat belt summonses
9 -- driver’s license arrests
4 -- non-moving arrests
5-- no-insurance arrests

A total of 53 arrests and 52 warnings were issued in conjunction with a sobriety checkpoint conducted in Douglas County on July 10, near the intersection of Missouri Highway 76 west and Missouri Highway 5. Totals from this checkpoint include:
2 -- DWI arrests
1 -- speed arrest
26 -- seat belt summonses
7 -- non-moving arrests
3 -- driver’s license arrests
12 -- no-insurance arrests
1 -- misdemeanor warrant arrest
1 -- other misdemeanor criminal arrest
Captain Chadwick says, “The motoring public has been very supportive of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s efforts to make our roads safer through the use of sobriety checkpoints. Nobody wants to share the road with a drunk driver. Please don’t drink and drive.”
