EMPHASIS: Drug Seizure, Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop D.


On Sunday, June 7, 2009, a trooper stopped an eastbound 2001 Kenworth tractor trailer for speed and a lane violation on Interstate 44 at the 89-mile marker, in Greene County. The trailer contained an old fire truck. Due to inconsistent stories by the driver and discrepancies in paperwork consent to search was requested and granted. The search revealed 1,042 pounds of marijuana (48 bundles) located in the onboard water tank of the fire truck.

The driver, Lincoln A. Kelly, 39, of St. Albans, NY, was arrested for drug trafficking.

The charge for which the above person was arrested is mere accusation and not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of this charge must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence.
