EMPHASIS: Troop B Officers To Conduct DWI Saturations During The Months Of October & November 2016

Captain James E. Wilt, commanding officer of Troop B, Macon, announces that sometime during the month of October 2016, a DWI saturation will be conducted in Monroe and Randolph counties, and in November 2016, a DWI saturation will be conducted throughout the 16-county Troop B area.
"Special enforcement operations such as these enable the Missouri State Highway Patrol to enhance our efforts in removing impaired drivers from our highways," stated Captain Wilt. "Driving while impaired continues to be a major contributing factor of traffic crashes in Missouri."
Captain Wilt urges all citizens to help law enforcement efforts to apprehend impaired drivers. If you suspect a motorist of driving while impaired or observe a vehicle being driven in an erratic manner, contact the nearest law enforcement agency. The Highway Patrol toll-free numbers for reporting emergencies are 1-800-525-5555 or cellular *55.
The only 100 percent survivable traffic crash is the one that never happens. Make sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Every day as we travel on Missouri’s roadways, we trust that every driver on the road is going to obey the speed limit, pay attention, and drive sober. “Don’t Violate The Trust.”
