EMPHASIS: Investigation In Dade County Results In Recovery Of Numerous Stolen Items


On November 7, 2011, two Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers were following up on a report of suspicious activity at a residence in Lockwood, Missouri. The investigation resulted in the discovery of a large amount of stolen property and the arrest of two individuals.

At approximately 11:30 a.m., troopers contacted two individuals at a residence in Lockwood, Missouri. A computer check revealed both individuals had warrants issued for their arrest. A check of a vehicle at the residence revealed the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Pittsburg, Kansas. Subsequent investigation and the execution of a search warrant of the residence revealed numerous stolen items and a methamphetamine laboratory. In addition, as a result of the initial investigation, a second residence west of Lockwood was determined to be a location for stolen property. The recovered property is from numerous residential and commercial thefts primarily from Southwest Missouri. The stolen property has an estimated value of $100,000. Assisting with the apprehension of the two subjects and recovery of the stolen items were the Dade County Sheriff’s Department, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department, and the Lockwood Police Department. The investigation continues.
