EMPHASIS: Troop G Announces Saturation Results

Captain Mark G. Inman, commanding officer of Troop G, releases the following information:

A total of 23 citations and 21 warnings were issued in conjunction with a DWI saturation conducted in Texas County on May 1, 2015. Also, one person was arrested for driving while intoxicated. This saturation targeted DWI enforcement along with other hazardous moving and alcohol-related offenses. The designated highways for this operation were U.S. Highway 60 and U.S. Highway 63. Totals from this saturation include:

7 -- speed citations
6 -- seat belt citations
2 -- child restraint citations
2 -- non-moving violation citations
2 -- no driver license citations
4 -- uninsured motorist citations
1 -- arrest for driving while intoxicated

Captain Inman says, “The Missouri State Highway Patrol is dedicated to removing impaired drivers from our roadways. DWI saturations are one tool we use to make our roadways a safer place for Missouri’s motorists. Please be careful when behind the wheel and never drink and drive.”

In support of “The Drive To ZERO Highway Deaths,” the Patrol encourages motorists to protect themselves and their passengers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Watercraft operators should ensure that everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket. Click It 4 Life And Wear It!!
