EMPHASIS: Criminal Investigation Leads To An Arrest

The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control and the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department have arrested a Daviess County resident for involuntary manslaughter (class D felony) and distribution of a controlled substance (class A felony). The three-month joint investigation began after the death of Bo Eaton, a Daviess County resident who overdosed on the drug oxycodone.
The arrested person is Kevin Caldwell, 29, of Gallatin, Missouri. Officers from both departments arrested Caldwell and transported him to the Daviess and DeKalb County Regional Jail. His bond has not been set.
The charges for which the individual has been arrested are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
