EMPHASIS: Five New Troopers Assigned To Troop A

Captain Robert L. Powell, commanding officer of Troop A, Lee’s Summit, announces the assignment of five new troopers to Troop A. The new troopers were members of the Highway Patrol’s 89th Recruit Class, which graduated from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy in Jefferson City, Missouri, on July 10, 2009. The new troopers will report to their assignments on July 27, 2009.
Trooper David L. Johnson has been assigned to Zone 12, Johnson County. Trooper Johnson is a native of Sedalia, Missouri, and graduated from Warsaw High School. He attended the University of Central Missouri, Warrensburg, Missouri, and holds a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice. Trooper Johnson was a full-time student prior to joining the Highway Patrol
Trooper Chadwick S. Kutzner has been assigned to Zone 1, Platte County. Trooper Kutzner is a native of Springfield, Missouri, and graduated from Lighthouse Christian Academy in Aurora, Missouri. He attended the College of the Ozarks, Point Lookout, Missouri, and holds a bachelor of arts degree in history. Trooper Kutzner was an over the road truck driver prior to joining the Highway Patrol.
Trooper Ryan C. Richardson has been assigned to Zone 4, Clay County. Trooper Richardson is a native of Blue Springs, Missouri, and graduated from Blue Springs South High School. He attended the University of Central Missouri, Warrensburg, Missouri, and holds a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice. Trooper Richardson was a full-time student prior to joining the Highway Patrol.
Trooper Brody R. Sanson has been assigned to Zone 4, Clay County. Trooper Sanson is a native of Kansas City, Missouri, and graduated from Excelsior Springs High School. He attended the University of Central Missouri, Warrensburg, Missouri, and holds a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice. He is married to Lindsay (Jensen). Trooper Sanson was a dispatcher with the Pleasant Valley Police Department prior to joining the Highway Patrol.
Trooper Christopher J. Sullivan has been assigned to Zone 10, Saline County. Trooper Sullivan is a native of Conception, Missouri, and graduated from Jefferson C-123 High School in Conception Junction, Missouri. He attended Missouri State Western University, St. Joseph, Missouri, and holds a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice with an emphasis in law enforcement and an associate’s degree in administration. Trooper Sullivan was a full-time student prior to joining the Highway Patrol.
