EMPHASIS: Troop H Ten-Mile Trooper Operation


Captain Duane L. Robinson, commanding officer of Troop H, in St. Joseph, announces a program designed to provide the maximum amount of manpower during the busy travel days of the Independence Day weekend. The operation will be conducted on Friday, July 2, 2010, and Sunday, July 4, 2010. The hours of the program will be from 12 p.m. to midnight on May 28, and 10:00 a.m. to 10:00p.m. on May 31, 2010. Interstate 35 has been selected as the location for the operation.
Troopers will be located in both stationary and moving observational positions. Troopers will monitor traffic, enforcing a zero tolerance policy for motorists who are stopped for a traffic violation and are not wearing a seat belt. All other types of hazardous driving will be addressed.
