EMPHASIS: Troop C Officers To Participate In "Click It Or Ticket" Enforcement Campaign

Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer of Troop C, Weldon Spring, announces several “Click It or Ticket” enforcement operations from May 25 through June 4, 2010. Members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol will be conducting the “Click It or Ticket” campaign in Jefferson and St. Charles counties.

A zero-tolerance policy for non-compliance with the seat belt law will be observed throughout this operation, as it is throughout the year, to raise seat belt use awareness and compliance. Electronic message boards, provided by the Missouri Department of Transportation, will be activated reminding motorists of the campaign. The enforcement operation is part of a national campaign, and will be conducted statewide in Missouri.

“Every time you drive your vehicle, you run the risk of being injured in a traffic crash,” said Captain Johnson. "Wearing your seat belt could save your life."
