EMPHASIS: Results Of Sobriety Saturation In Lincoln County

Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer of Troop C, Weldon Spring, announces the results of a driving while intoxicated saturation conducted on Saturday, March 17, 2012, in Lincoln County. Four Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers conducted the enforcement operation during the eight-hour project.
As a result of the enforcement program, a total of 15 arrests were made and 43 warnings were issued. Of the 15 arrests, three persons were arrested for driving while intoxicated. Troopers issued two summonses for speed, two summonses for no seat belt, three summonses for no proof of insurance, and one summons for failing to stop at a stop sign. One individual was arrested for possession of drugs, and three individuals were arrested on outstanding warrants.
“Sobriety saturations are very important in making our highways a safer place to travel,” stated Captain Johnson. “Troop C officers will be conducting various special enforcement operations throughout 2012 with a goal of reducing traffic crashes and saving lives.”
