EMPHASIS: Troop I Announces DWI Saturation Patrols For Laclede County

Captain Randy Becker, commanding officer of Troop I, announces that sometime during the months of July and August, troopers assigned to Troop I will be involved in special enforcement operations that specifically target those drivers who are operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. During these operations, troopers will patrol those highways in Laclede County where statistics have shown a larger number of crashes and arrests have occurred in the past involving impaired drivers.
“With the summer months upon us, many citizens will spend some of their vacation floating one of the numerous Ozark steams,” said Captain Becker. “Please don’t let alcohol be the catalyst for tragedy either on the river or on the highway as you make the journey home.”
