EMPHASIS: Two DWI Saturations Conducted


Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer of Troop C, Weldon Spring, announces the results of two driving while intoxicated saturations conducted on Saturday, May 8, 2010, in Jefferson and Ste. Genevieve Counties. A total of eight Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers conducted the enforcement operations during the eight-hour projects.

As a result of the enforcement program in Jefferson County, one subject was arrested for driving while intoxicated and two arrests were made for outstanding misdemeanor warrants. Three summonses were issued for speed violations, four for other hazardous moving and non-moving violations, and 21 warnings were issued.

As a result of the enforcement program in Ste. Genevieve County, one subject was arrested for driving while intoxicated. Six summonses were issued for speed violations, one for a driver license violation, one for a hazardous moving violation, and 32 warnings were issued.

“These two operations had good results,” stated Captain Johnson. “The troopers assigned to the details worked hard and every effort was made to remove intoxicated drivers from our roadways."
