EMPHASIS: Music Show Proceeds Dedicated to Barwick/Newton Fund


The Meramec Music Theatre, located at 26 West Highway 8, in Steelville, Missouri, has announced that it will donate all proceeds from the “Country Variety” and “Golden Oldies” Show, on Saturday, November 1, 2008, beginning at 7:00 p.m., to the Barwick/Newton Fund.
The Barwick/Newton Fund is named for St. Louis Metropolitan Police Officer Michael Barwick and Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper Michael Newton, both of whom were killed in the line of duty. The fund assists with the transportation and other expenses incurred by family members of fallen officers who travel to Washington, D.C., for National Police Week, the National Police Survivors’ Conference, and the annual candlelight vigil.
