EMPHASIS: Troop G Releases Checkpoint Results


Captain Billy E. Chadwick, commanding officer of Troop G, releases the following information:

A total of 142 arrests and 54 warnings were issued in conjunction with hazardous vehicle conditions/safety checkpoints conducted in Shannon County. The checkpoints were held on July 30 and 31, and August 1 and 2, near the intersection of Missouri Route 19 and Missouri Route A. Totals from these checkpoints include:

2 -- misdemeanor DWI arrests
26 -- seat belt summonses
1 -- other hazardous moving violation summons
11 -- driver’s license summonses
6 -- non-moving summonses
34 -- no-insurance summonses
5 -- felony drug arrests
6 -- minor-in-possession arrests
49 -- misdemeanor drug arrests
2-- misdemeanor warrant arrests

Captain Chadwick said, “Our goal in the Missouri State Highway Patrol is to ensure the safety of those who travel Missouri’s roadways. Please help us reach our goal by being an alert, conscientious, and sober driver. ”
