EMPHASIS: Drug Arrest Resulting From Indoor Marijuana Grow Operation

On Tuesday, December 28, 2010, after an 11-month drug investigation by members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, and the diversion unit of the Kansas City Power and Light Company, officers executed a search warrant at 427 Lawn Avenue, in Kansas City, Missouri. Officers seized an operational indoor marijuana growing operation consisting of 541 marijuana plants, grow equipment, and approximately one pound of processed marijuana.
As a result of the drug investigation and search warrant execution, Tham V. Huynh, 47, was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute and was transported to the Jackson County Jail.
The charge for which Huynh was arrested is mere accusation and is not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charge must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
