EMPHASIS: Troop I Announces Brake Safety Awareness Week

The Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement Division of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, in conjunction with the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance, will participate in "Brake Safety Awareness Week,” scheduled for September 7 through September 13, 2014. "Brake Safety Awareness Week" is an educational outreach program designed to train companies, drivers, and mechanics about proper brake adjustment limits and air brake system inspection. Troop I invites all trucking companies who would like to participate in the program to contact the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division of the Missouri State Highway Patrol at Troop I Headquarters at 573-368-2345. The contact person for this program is Sergeant Bryan Arnold, Troop I. The Missouri State Highway Patrol looks forward to assisting all trucking companies interested in participating in this awareness program.

In support of "The Drive To ZERO Highway Deaths," the Patrol encourages motorists to protect themselves and their passengers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Watercraft operators should ensure that everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket. Click It 4 Life And Wear It!!
