EMPHASIS: National Missing Children's Day Poster Contest

The Missouri State Highway Patrol announces the kickoff of the National Missing Children's Day Poster Contest is November 1, 2011. All poster entries must be received no later than March 1, 2012. Fifth grade students from throughout Missouri are encouraged to participate in the contest. The theme is "Bring Our Missing Children Home". The first place winner from Missouri will be automatically entered into the national contest. The winner of the national contest will be recognized in Washington, D.C., at the annual National Missing Children's Day ceremony in May 2012.

"The Patrol is pleased to be a part of the National Missing Children's Day Poster Contest," said Col. Ron Replogle. "This is a creative way for children to talk and learn about a serious situation that occurs every day in our nation."
