EMPHASIS: Criminal Arrest In Livingston County

On March 17, 2010, at 11:25 p.m. a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper observed a subject standing outside a closed convenience store at Chula, MO., in rural Livingston County. The trooper returned to the store, where he found that the subject had broken a store window in an attempt to gain entry. The suspect was arrested and identified as Jeremiah Orona, 21, of Chula, MO. The suspect was also in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia, and property damage. He was then transported to the Livingston County Jail.
The charges for which the individual was arrested are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence.
