EMPHASIS:
Results Of DWI Saturations Held In Chariton, Monroe, Ralls, And Randolph Counties During The Month Of July 2016
Captain James E. Wilt, commanding officer of Troop B, Macon, announces the results of DWI saturations conducted in Chariton, Monroe, Ralls, and Randolph counties. A DWI saturation was conducted from 11 p.m. on July 1, 2016, to 3 a.m. on July 2, 2016, in Monroe, Ralls, and Randolph counties, and another DWI saturation was conducted from 11 p.m. on July 9, 2016, to 3 a.m. on July 10, 2016 in Chariton County. During the enforcement operations, officers patrolled specific areas with a goal of detecting impaired drivers and other traffic violations that contribute to traffic crashes. As a result of the operations, officers made one felony drug arrest and one misdemeanor drug arrest, and issued six traffic citations and 57 warnings. The following is a list of traffic citations issued:
5 ─ Citations were issued for exceeding the speed limit.
1 ─ Citation was issued for a seat belt violation.
The only 100 percent survivable traffic crash is the one that never happens. Make sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Every day as we travel on Missouri’s roadways, we trust that every driver on the road is going to obey the speed limit, pay attention, and drive sober.
“Don’t Violate The Trust.”
