EMPHASIS: Troop D: Results Of Niangua River Saturation



Captain Juan Villanueva, commanding officer of Troop D, Springfield, announces the results of an enforcement saturation conducted on August 4, 2012, on and around the Niangua River, in Dallas County. Members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, along with officers of the Missouri Department of Conservation, made the following enforcement contacts:

1--felony drug arrest
8--misdemeanor drug violations
6--minor in possession violations
1--supplying alcohol to a minor violation
19-- personal flotation device violations
1-- peace disturbance summons
1-- resisting arrest
7-- littering violations
4--non-moving summonses
7--traffic summonses

"The Missouri State Highway Patrol continues to ensure that Missouri's waterways are safe and enjoyable to the public. Boaters are reminded to contact the Missouri State Highway Patrol using *55 if they need assistance," stated Captain Villanueva.
