EMPHASIS: Highway Patrol Arrest Man For Leaving The Scene Of A Fatal Crash
Robert M. Greber, 26, of Winfield, Missouri, was arrested on Tuesday, September 25, 2007, for felony leaving the scene of a fatal crash. On September 22, 2007, at approximately 7:45 p.m., 11-year-old Travis Scott was attempting to cross Missouri Highway 47 just east of Route D in Lincoln County. Travis was struck by a green over silver 1996 Dodge Ram pick-up truck. The driver of the truck, Robert M. Greber, failed to stop after striking Travis Scott with the front right portion of his truck. Troopers investigating the crash seized evidence from the scene and the truck driven by Greber. The evidence is currently en route to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Crime Laboratory Division in Jefferson City.
All questions regarding the prosecution of Greber should be addressed to Mr. G. John Richards, the Lincoln County prosecutor. All other questions should be addressed to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The charge for which Greber is accused is a mere accusation and is not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charge must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
