EMPHASIS: Troop I Announces August Enforcement Operations

Captain James W. Remillard, commanding officer of Troop I, announces that during the month of August, Troop I will conduct a sobriety checkpoint in Phelps County and a DWI saturation in Laclede County.
"The Missouri State Highway Patrol takes drinking and driving very seriously," stated Captain Remillard. "The Patrol will be conducting similar enforcement operations throughout the remainder of 2014 in an effort to make our highways safer. If drinking is part of your plans, choose a designated driver."
In support of “The Drive To ZERO Highway Deaths,” the Patrol encourages motorists to protect themselves and their passengers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Watercraft operators should ensure that everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket. Click It 4 Life And Wear It!!
