EMPHASIS: Driving While Intoxicated Saturations In May 2009
Captain Robert L. Powell, commanding officer of Troop A, Lee’s Summit, announces that sometime during the month of May, driving while intoxicated saturations will be conducted in Platte and Johnson counties.
The saturations are part of the continuing effort by the Missouri State Highway Patrol to remove intoxicated drivers from the roadways. Members of the Highway Patrol will concentrate their efforts on highways based on a high number of alcohol-related crashes and enforcement contacts.
Captain Powell stated, “Do not let your life or someone else’s life be ruined by an alcohol-related crash or arrest. If you are going to drink, please do not drive.”
