EMPHASIS: Patrol Presents Honorary Trooper Certificates To Shelby County Residents

On April 24, 2013, Captain James Wilt, commanding officer of Troop B, presented Missouri State Highway Patrol Honorary Trooper certificates to three Shelby County residents for their quick actions in assisting law enforcement officers in the apprehension of a bank robber and accomplice. [The announcement of this presentation was delayed until the criminal case was adjudicated.]
Joseph Raymann, Kyle Chinn, and Scott Lanpher, all rural Shelby County residents, received their awards for identifying two individuals involved in a robbery at the Community State Bank in Clarence, Missouri, on January 17, 2013. Their actions enabled law enforcement officers to make quick apprehensions of the suspects involved.
"Not only did the actions of these men help with the identity of the suspects involved in the robbery, they also alerted officers to the suspects' location. Thus, the suspects were taken into custody shortly after the crime was committed," stated Captain Wilt. "This is a great example of law enforcement officers and citizens working together in an effort to make our communities safe."
The Patrol encourages motorists and watercraft operators to protect themselves by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint and everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket. Click It 4 Life and Wear It!!
