EMPHASIS: Troopers Arrest Suspect In Warrenton Bank Robbery

On June 25, 2012, Troop F radio received several phone calls reporting a careless and imprudent driver who was westbound on Interstate 70, near the 183-mile marker, in Montgomery County. The vehicle and driver descriptions matched those of the suspect in a Warrenton bank robbery which occurred at 12:30 p.m. on today's date. A short time later, troopers located the suspect vehicle pulling into the Days Inn parking lot, in Kingdom City, and made contact with the driver, Jasmine M.J. McDaniel, of Meyerstown, PA.
After making contact with McDaniel, troopers observed signs of impairment and placed her under arrest for driving while intoxicated. Further investigation revealed McDaniel has an outstanding warrant for bank robbery in the state of Pennsylvania. Officials with the Warrenton Police Department were contacted and arrived on the scene where they confirmed McDaniel was the suspect in the Warrenton bank robbery. The Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Warrenton Police Department continue to investigate.
The driver, Jasmine M.J. McDaniel, 43, of Meyerstown, PA, was arrested and is being held at the Callaway County Jail in Fulton, MO. In addition to being arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and a felony warrant for the Pennsylvania bank robbery, McDaniel is also being held pending formal charges for the bank robbery in Warrenton, MO.
The charges for which McDaniel has been arrested are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
