EMPHASIS: Troop I Announces Enforcement Operations For December

Captain Lee Ann H. Kenley, commanding officer of Troop I, announces that during the month of December, officers assigned to Troop I will be involved in two special enforcement operations. These include a sobriety checkpoint in Laclede County and DWI saturation in Crawford County.
“Thus far this year, traffic fatalities within the six county Troop I area are down 35 percent when compared to this date last year,” stated Captain Kenley. “It is hoped that enforcement projects such as these will help this trend to continue through the holidays and into 2014. Please make this holiday season safe on our highways by following the rules of the road and always buckling up.”
The Patrol encourages motorists and watercraft operators to protect themselves by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint and everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket. Click It 4 Life and Wear It!!!
