EMPHASIS: Results Of Sobriety Checkpoint--Camden County




Captain Dale A. Schmidt, commanding officer, Troop F Headquarters, Jefferson City, announced today the results of a sobriety checkpoint that was held in Camden County on August 21, 2009. A total of 210 vehicles were stopped. The following is a list of enforcement contacts for the operation:

4 -- DWI
3 -- Driver's License
2 -- Other Hazardous Moving
8 -- Drug Violations
1 -- Warrant Arrest
76 -- Warnings

Captain Schmidt stated, "Troopers at the checkpoint indicated they observed large numbers of
designated drivers transporting intoxicated subjects. We thank those designated drivers
who helped make our roadways a safer place to travel. We will continue to utilize these projects to help
encourage the use of designated drivers."
