EMPHASIS: Felony Marijuana Arrest In Howard County

On August 11, 2008, the Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop F Eradication Team arrested two individuals after observing 29 cultivated marijuana plants near a residence in rural Howard County. A subsequent search of the residence revealed a small amount of processed marijuana and various items of paraphernalia. Arrested were Kenneth D. Hendren, 50, and Deana L. Hendren, 47, of Glasgow, MO. They were released at the scene pending the filing of formal charges.
The Hendrens were arrested after troopers conducted an investigation that located cultivated marijuana plants in an outdoor growing operation. The couple was arrested for cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The charges for which they were arrested are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of these charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction, whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
