EMPHASIS: Missouri State Troopers Make Drug Arrests On Separate Traffic Stops

On September 16, 2015, a 2004 GMC Yukon was stopped by a Missouri state trooper for a traffic violation on eastbound Interstate 70 near the 70-mile marker in Lafayette County, Missouri. During the course of the traffic stop, the driver was found to be operating the vehicle while his driving privilege was revoked in California, and there were indications of deceptive behavior. The driver was subsequently arrested for operating a motor vehicle without a valid license. During an inventory search of the vehicle, the trooper located 61 pounds of marijuana inside the rear cargo area of the Yukon.
Jacob D Woolery, 32, of Redding, California, was also arrested for second degree drug trafficking, and transported to the Lafayette County Jail.

On September 16, 2015, a 2015 Nissan Altima was stopped by a Missouri state trooper for a traffic violation on Missouri Route T near Lipper Street in Higginsville, Missouri. During the course of the traffic stop, inconsistencies and deceptive behavior led the trooper to ask for consent to search the vehicle, which was granted. The trooper subsequently searched the vehicle, locating 31 pounds of marijuana in the trunk of the vehicle.
Jose Antonio Trevino Sr, 68, of Salem, Oregon, was arrested for second degree drug trafficking and transported to the Lafayette County Jail.

The charges for which Woolery and Trevino were arrested are mere accusation and not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the above charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
