EMPHASIS: 10-Mile Trooper Project To Be Conducted On Interstates 70 And 44


Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer of Troop C, Weldon Spring, announces a program designed to provide the maximum amount of manpower during the busy travel days of the Fourth of July holiday weekend.

In an effort to promote safety and reduce traffic crashes on Interstates 44 and 70 in Troop C, the Missouri State Highway Patrol will have troopers patrolling at approximate 10-mile intervals on Friday, July 2, 2010, and Monday, July 5, 2010. The hours of the project will be from 12 p.m. to midnight on July 2, 2010, and on July 5, 2010, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Troopers will be targeting all traffic violations, and will be especially vigilant to aggressive driving violations to promote safe driving behavior.
