On November 21, 2008, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., five Troop B officers focused their attention on U.S. Highway 63. During the eight-hour enforcement operation, which utilized a Patrol aircraft, officers made four arrests, and issued 35 citations and 41 warnings. Of those enforcement contacts, four misdemeanor drug arrests were made, 28 citations were issued for speed, one citation was issued for failure to yield, and six citations were issued for seat belt violations.
On November 28, 2008, from 7:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. on November 29, 2008, one officer focused his attention on highways in Chariton and Linn counties with a goal of detecting intoxicated drivers and other traffic violations that contribute to traffic crashes.
