EMPHASIS: Troop G Releases Results Of S.T.E.P./Hazardous Moving Operation


Captain Billy E. Chadwick, commanding officer of Troop G, releases the following information:

A total of 63 arrests and 57 warnings were issued in conjunction with a S.T.E.P./Hazardous Moving Violations Operation held in Troop G this past Labor Day holiday weekend. The operation was held in Texas County, focusing on U.S. Highway 60 and U.S. Highway 63.
These totals include, 29 speed arrests, 14 seat belt arrests, and one uninsured motorist arrest. Officers also made six misdemeanor drug arrests, two misdemeanor warrant arrests, two minor in possession arrests, and nine non-moving arrests.
“Our officers worked very hard to ensure the safety of the motoring public over the Labor Day holiday period, said Captain Chadwick. “Please do all you can as drivers to protect yourself and your loved ones as you travel.”
