EMPHASIS: Results Of Sobriety Saturation In Franklin, St. Charles, & Washington Counties


Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer of Troop C, Weldon Spring, announces the results of a driving while intoxicated saturation conducted on separate dates during the month of May in Franklin, St. Charles, and Washington counties. Four Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers conducted each enforcement operation during the eight-hour project in each of the counties. The following is a combined list of the enforcement contacts made during the operations.

DWI Misdemeanor -- 4 arrests
DWI Felony -- 2 arrests
Speed -- 14 summonses
Failed To Yield -- 1 summons
Seat Belt -- 16 summonses
Commercial Vehicle Violations -- 2 summonses
Following Too Close -- 4 summonses
Driving While Suspended/Revoked -- 3 summonses
Non-Moving Violations -- 12 summonses
Other Hazardous Moving -- 11 summonses
No Insurance -- 4 summonses
Misdemeanor Criminal Arrests -- 1 arrest
Misdemeanor Drug Possession -- 4 arrests
Misdemeanor Warrant -- 2 arrests
Felony Warrant -- 1 arrest
Warnings -- 21

“Sobriety saturations are very important in making our highways a safer place to travel,” stated Captain Johnson. “Troop C officers will be conducting various special enforcement operations throughout 2013 with a goal of reducing traffic crashes and saving lives.”

The Patrol encourages motorists and watercraft operators to protect themselves by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint and everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket. Click It 4 Life and Wear It!!!
