EMPHASIS: Troop I Announces Results Of DWI Saturation

Captain Lee Ann H. Kenley, commanding officer of Troop I, announces the results of a DWI saturation patrol conducted in Pulaski County on September 7, 2012. During the operation, the three assigned troopers investigated one injury traffic crash and made arrests or issued citations for the following offenses:

DWI: 1
Speed: 4
Driver’s License Violations: 1
Misdemeanor Drug Violations: 2
Minor In Possession Of Alcohol: 1
Misdemeanor Warrant Arrest: 1
Warnings: 25

Captain Kenley would like to remind motorists that in the past approximately 25 percent of all fatality traffic crashes on Missouri’s highways were alcohol-related. Captain Kenley would like to encourage Missourians to be responsible and to realize that alcohol and vehicles are a deadly mix.

The Patrol encourages motorists to protect themselves from all types of hazardous drivers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint.
