EMPHASIS: 20-Mile Trooper


Captain Gregory D. Kindle, commanding officer, Troop F Headquarters, Jefferson City, announced today the results of the “20-Mile Trooper” saturations that were held on Interstate 70 in Boone, Cooper, and Montgomery counties. The projects were held on May 24, 2013, and May 27, 2013. During the operations, a total of 209 vehicles were stopped. The following is a list of enforcement contacts during the operation:

73 -- Speed
23 -- Seat Belt
1 -- Careless And Imprudent
11 -- Other Hazardous Moving
29 -- Non-Moving
6 -- Driver's License (Suspended/Revoked/None)
4 -- Insurance
5 -- Felony Warrant Arrests
6 -- Misdemeanor Arrests
196 -- Warnings

Captain Kindle stated, “We are pleased that no fatality crashes occurred throughout the 13 counties that encompass Troop F during the Memorial Day holiday weekend. We congratulate the motoring public for their efforts in safe driving. The Patrol encourages motorists and watercraft operators to protect themselves by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint and everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket.
