EMPHASIS: Marijuana Arrest In Saline County
On November 19, 2010, an eastbound 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee was stopped by a state trooper for a traffic violation on Interstate 70 at the 78 mile marker in Saline County, Missouri. During the course of the traffic stop, the trooper noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The probable cause search resulted in the seizure of approximately ten pounds of processed marijuana that was concealed in a suitcase in the rear of the vehicle.
The driver, Christopher K. Crnobori, 46, of New York, NY, was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute and was transported to the Saline County Sheriff's Office.
The charge for which Crnobori was arrested is mere accusation and is not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charge must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
