EMPHASIS: Body Found In Stockton Lake Identified

On Tuesday, September 23, 2014, at approximately 10:30 a.m., a body was located and recovered on Stockton Lake, near the Highway H and Highway Y intersection, in Dade County. The body was positively identified as Rodney Wade David, 61, of Golden City, Missouri. Mr. David had been reported missing since September 19, 2014, at approximately 5:30 p.m., when Marine Operations Troopers of the Missouri State Highway Patrol were called to an unoccupied boat running in circles in the middle of Stockton Lake, near Ruark Bluff. Once recovered, the body was released to the Dade County Coroner Gary Banta. While the preliminary cause of death appears to be drowning, the circumstances surrounding the manner in which Mr. David entered the water are still being investigated.
